I lack the time ( and ultimately the power ) for a longer text . This is a pity , because the subject deserves it. Maybe I have time and energy later . But a few thoughts now but , as a note and invitation to opposition or consent.
I once called a literary- musical program that I developed " degradation of a statue ." The statue was J. R. Mug, a poet whose inner turmoil and longing for death in the GDR should have no place , and the one to ( the ) brought with it what he deserved : Recognition for ausgefochtene fights and trying to be a good person . Recognition for many good poems , besides the bad that you could not call bad should because they were songs of praise .
Alice Schwarzer's " small difference " reached me in the GDR IRMTRAUD Morgner who lent me the book . Alice Schwarzer visited IRMTRAUD Morgner probably several times in the Leipziger Strasse , if I remember correctly . This was at a time when the Berlin sky was still divided . We, the women in the East , we distinguished significantly from the Western women. This was not a small difference ...

In a film program ( mine told RW ), published in a Berlin newspaper, behind " The Divided Sky " and " Paul and Paula " Germany as a country of origin. Typically , the good DDR will disappear without a trace , the GDR may be remembered only as " unjust regime " , as am " The Divided Sky" is not up to her and the traffic light man and the hope that they could meet their own standards at some point , if we only strong would give trouble.

I could at least write down from memory - 'm gone in the GDR to school. How many children learn to know it today? We have not given us enough trouble with our country.
And we do not give now to the other apparently also trying hard enough , otherwise we would not be ashamed to us . Once again the Germans have eaten the wisdom with spoons and know how it goes.
