In the EU there is an enthusiasm for Serbia , which even called as " an inspiration to others ." Not distant history tells us that praise pathetic against Serbia and " pleasures " expressed for changes in the state have also been expressions of misunderstanding of the situation . 14 years ago the EU was also impressed with Serbia when exactly those who are in power today , Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Aleksandar Vucic , more precisely their heads then Milosevic and Seselj was knocked out power . There is no doubt that progress in relations between Serbia and Kosovo , but should not be exaggerated , because no serious problem in these reports is not resolved while Serbia continues to regard Kosovo as a part of hers .
But care should be taken with Serbia , because history not so distant region proves that she can always turn the wrong way . No need to go back to the war and agreements which just reached the desk of Milosevic violated his forces on the ground , whether in Croatia , Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo . At that time the EU excessively praised the then president of Serbia , Vojislav Kostunica and Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic . Their coming to power and the removal of Milosevic was known as the " victory of the future to the dark past " and " start walking the safe arrival of Serbia towards the European bright darkness leaving behind nationalist past ." And indeed in 2000 started well . He was arrested and handed over to The Hague , Slobodan Milosevic . Serbia began taking part in regional and international meetings . But not for long . Zoran Djindjic was killed in one of the most important political murders of Europe . Kostunica himself began to turn towards nationalism . Many years were lost not only for Serbia , but it also held hostage rest of the region .
